Trump Cancels Pakistan Trip Kushner Witkoff Depart For Israel Instead

US President Donald Trump abruptly canceled the planned visit to Islamabad, Pakistan, for his chief negotiators, Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff. The US delegation was scheduled to meet with Iranian counterparts to work on a ceasefire agreement aimed at ending the conflict between the United States and Iran.

Speaking to Fox News on Saturday, Trump disclosed that the trip was called off, stating, “I told my people earlier that they were about to leave: ‘No, you are not flying 18 hours there.’ We have all the cards. They can call us anytime, but you will not take further 18-hour flights just to sit around and talk about trifles”.

Earlier in the news, it had been reported that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi left Islamabad on Saturday. Araghchi had previously conducted talks there on Friday, meeting not only with his Pakistani counterpart but also with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. According to reports, Araghchi immediately continued his journey to Oman and then proceeded to Russia to seek support in the ongoing conflict against the US and Israel.
