The home derby between FC St. Pauli and Hamburger SV finished goalless, 0‑0, in the Millerntor Stadium on the evening of Friday.
From the start the contest was intense but plagued by a lack of clear chances. On the 19th matchday of the Bundesliga, both sides largely neutralised each other over wide areas of the pitch. In the first phase, HSV had slightly more possession, yet their attacks struggled to break open the compact defence of the Kiezkicker. St. Pauli’s offensive efforts were similarly muted, meaning most of the action resided in midfield.
The second half saw a noticeable increase in intensity. HSV made a more daring assault. Long‑range shots from Arkadiusz Pyrka and a volley from Danel Sinani produced their best opportunities, but Hamburg’s goalkeeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes made safe saves on both occasions. St. Pauli’s chances largely came from set pieces, including a header by Luka Vuskovic, but the ball never found the back of the net.
With no decisive goal from either side and no own goals, the match concluded as a fair, goalless draw.
