In the case of the violent death of eight‑year‑old Fabian from Güstrow, prosecutors have filed charges against the suspect. The indictment, announced Monday by the police and prosecutor’s office, accuses the woman-who has been in remand since November-of treacherous murder.
According to investigators, the prosecutor’s office in Rostock believes that the accused went to Fabian’s home address on the morning of 10 October 2025 and lured the eight‑year‑old, whom she knew well, out under a pretext. She then allegedly transported the boy in her vehicle to a field near Klein Upahl, where they walked to a hidden pond. There, acting alone, she is said to have killed the boy with at least six stab wounds to the upper body. To cover up the crime, she supposedly set the body on fire later using a fire accelerant.
Despite the indictment, the presumption of innocence remains in effect.
