SC Preußen Münster announced on Monday that it had relieved Coach Alexander Ende and Assistant Coach Zlatko Muhovic of their duties. The decision followed a heavy 0‑6 defeat to Dynamo Dresden, a setback that the club said severely impacted its fight for survival in the league.
Sports director Ole Kittner praised Ende as “an excellent coach with a unique approach to the game” and noted his ability to work with everyone at eye level through his open and honest communication. He also acknowledged that Muhovic had fully embraced his role. Nevertheless, the club’s management explained that they had evaluated the team’s sporting development over recent weeks and months and concluded it was time to pursue a different direction.
Kittner added that the goal with Ende had been to implement a “clear and long‑term playing philosophy” but the current circumstances had made it impossible to bring that philosophy onto the field in the required form. The U23 manager, Kieran Schulze‑Marmeling, will oversee preparations for the next home match against 1. FC Magdeburg.
