In the debate over digital sexualized violence, Nina Warken, chairwoman of the CDU Women’s Union, called for swift action. “The criminal‑law loophole must be closed immediately” she told the “Tagesspiegel”. “We will pressure that the announced tightening of the law arrives quickly”.
Warken highlighted that people rendered into sexualized objects by AI suffer a violation of their dignity, and that women are particularly often the victims. “What’s perverse is that perpetrators can’t yet be effectively punished. This injustice further humbles those affected. The criminal‑law gap must be closed at once” she added.
She warned that legal changes alone are insufficient. “Protection must go beyond paper. We also need more investigators, specialized units within the police and justice system, and faster proceedings”.
