Another poll suggests that the election outcome in Baden-Württemberg may be slightly tighter than previously expected. According to a survey by the “Research Group Elections” for the ZDF Politbarometer, the CDU leads with 27 percent, while the Greens trail close behind at 25 percent. The AfD comes next, with a significantly lower 19 percent. An Infratest poll conducted the day before had shown the Greens a little more strongly than in the weeks earlier.

The Politbarometer’s results for Baden-Württemberg are as follows: CDU 27 percent, Greens 25 percent, AfD 19 percent, SPD 9 percent, FDP 6 percent, Left 6 percent, and Other parties 8 percent. Almost a third of voters in the state reportedly have not yet made a decision. The state election will be held on March 8.
