Nagelsmann Adds Stiller And Führich To Germany Squad For Upcoming Matches

Coach Julian Nagelsmann has named Angelo Stiller and Chris Führich from VfB Stuttgart as replacements for the injured Felix Nmecha and Aleksandar Pavlovic ahead of Germany’s upcoming internationals.

Nmecha, who plays for Borussia Dortmund, is sidelined for the fixtures against Switzerland and Ghana because of a right‑knee lateral ligament injury. Pavlovic, of FC Bayern München, is out with hip problems.

Germany will play Switzerland on 27 March in Basel, followed by a match against Ghana on 30 March in Stuttgart.

Historically the Germans have dominated the tie with the Swiss, meeting them 54 times with 36 wins, nine defeats and nine draws. They have faced the four‑time African champions Ghana only three times. In the 1993 friendly in Bochum Germany won 6‑1, and on the world‑cup stage in 2010 and 2014 the teams produced one victory and one draw.
