Man Behind Fatal Race Convicted To Life Sentence In Ludwigsburg

In the trial concerning a fatal drag race in Ludwigsburg, the main defendant was found guilty of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment. The Stuttgart Regional Court delivered this verdict on Tuesday. The 33-year-old man had participated in a race through Ludwigsburg on March 20, 2025, involving a collision with an uninvolved car carrying two young women who sustained fatal injuries. The co-defendant brother, who was driving the second vehicle, was sentenced to 13 years in prison for attempted murder. Meanwhile, a third defendant who was a passenger in one of the cars received a suspended sentence. The court’s decision aligned with the prosecution’s demands. Initially, the defense attorneys had rejected the charges of murder, arguing instead for negligent killing.
