On Tuesday night, Bayer Leverkusen completed a 3‑0 win over FC St. Pauli to confirm their spot in the DFB‑Pokal semi‑finals. The victory, achieved without conceding, came in front of a home crowd at the BayArena, keeping the favorites on a title‑chasing course.
Martin Terrier gave Leverkusen the lead in the 32nd minute with a close‑range shot from 16 metres. The St. Pauli side showed courage and had a promising equaliser through Martijn Kaars just before the break, but they failed to convert their chances.
After the half‑time change, Czech striker Patrik Schick added a second goal in the 63rd minute, finishing a short‑range cross from Aleix Garcia. Jonas Hofmann sealed the result with a late goal in stoppage time (90 + 2), finalising the 3‑0 scoreline.
