On matchday 25 of the Bundesliga, RB Leipzig defeated FC Augsburg 2‑1, turning the game around once again.

In the first half Leipzig held most of the possession but struggled to create clear scoring chances. Augsburg, on the other hand, made the most of the limited opportunities they had. After Keven Schlotterbeck earned a penalty for Augsburg-which RB goalkeeper Vandevoort parried-Augsburg took the lead in the 39th minute when Robin Fellhauer finished off a counter‑attack.

Following the break Leipzig intensified their attack in search of an equaliser. The Saxons generated several chances but repeatedly found themselves thwarted by Augsburg’s strong goal‑keeper Dahmen. It was Diomande who, in the 76th minute after a pass from Harder, slipped the ball into the net to level the match. An own goal by Augsburg’s Arthur Chaves in the 92nd minute sealed the final score.
