Leipzig Book Fair Aims for New Visitor Record

The Leipzig Book Fair is nearing a new visitor record. Organisers announced that on the first two days of the fair, 105,000 people had been counted. In the same weekend of last year, the numbers were 96,000 on Thursday and Friday – about nine thousand fewer. However, the weekend typically draws far more crowds: in the previous edition, roughly 200,000 visitors attended on Saturday and Sunday alone, surpassing the record set then after the pandemic lull. Presently, 2,044 exhibitors are drawing book lovers to Leipzig.
