According to Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz, his forces have entered a new phase in the attacks on Tehran. For the first time in the “Roaring Lion” operation, Israeli Air Force aircraft are conducting a powerful strike over the Iranian capital, dropping munitions directly above the targets.

Earlier blasts on Tehran used stand‑off weapons fired from a distance, typically with smaller warheads. Israel now claims it has achieved air superiority and has “opened the way to Tehran”.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Massud Peseschkian has announced retaliation, stating that the killing of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei would be a “declaration of war to Muslims-especially the Shia worldwide”. He believes seeking justice and revenge is both a duty and a legitimate right, and vows to take this responsibility with full determination.
