Iran Parliament President Warns US of Ground Invasion Threat

Iran’s parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned the United States of a possible ground invasion. According to Iranian state media, he threatened to “set US troops on fire” and to intensify attacks on US allies. He said Iranian forces were waiting for US troops to arrive so that they could punish them and keep pressure on the U.S.’s regional partners for the long term.

Ghalibaf added that Iranian missiles are ready. He dismissed the United States’ 15‑point plan-which Pakistan sent to Iran last week-as “wishful thinking”. The Trump administration, he claimed, was attempting to achieve through this plan what it could not accomplish by force. As long as Americans continue to pursue Iran’s capitulation, the response will be clear: it will not be accepted.

Earlier U.S. media reports suggested that the Pentagon has been developing plans for a potential ground offensive for weeks, though it remains uncertain whether President Donald Trump would actually approve such plans.
