IAEA Confirms New Damage to Iran’s Natanz Underground Uranium Facility After Israeli US Attacks

New damage has reportedly been inflicted on the underground uranium‑enrichment facility in Natanz amid the attacks by Israel and the United States against Iran.

The IAEA confirmed, based on the latest satellite imagery, that some recent damage has been observed at the entrance buildings of the underground enrichment complex. No radiological consequences are expected, and the agency noted that the core facility itself has not suffered further damage beyond what it sustained in June, when it was already heavily damaged.

Earlier in the month, IAEA Director‑General Rafael Grossi urged “extreme restraint” in all military operations in the region, warning that the heightened nuclear‑security risk-stemming from several Middle‑Eastern nations involved in the conflict that possess nuclear technology-could lead to additional complications.
