Gasoline and diesel prices in Germany rose noticeably over the past week. According to a recent ADAC survey, diesel climbed 2.3 cents to an average of €1.721 per litre. Super E10 increased 1.2 cents and now averages €1.748 per litre nationwide. The last time Super E10 was more expensive was just under a year ago, while diesel has not reached this level since mid‑April 2024.
Crude oil prices remained almost flat compared to the previous week. A barrel of Brent crude cost roughly $67, about $1 less than the week before. The euro, however, weakened against the U.S. dollar during the same period.
The ADAC considers the gasoline price to be at an acceptable level but views the diesel price as too high. With only a 2.7‑cent gap between diesel and Super E10, the ADAC says there is potential for price reductions on diesel.
