The German Foreign Office announced on Tuesday that it had summoned the Iranian ambassador for a formal meeting. In the discussion the ministry made it clear that it was demanding the Iranian regime to immediately halt its reckless attacks on neighboring states.

It condemned the regime’s arbitrary and disproportionate rocket and drone strikes – even those aimed at civilian targets – saying that such attacks pose a danger to allied governments, to German military personnel abroad and to German citizens in the region.

The move follows Iran’s recent rocket assaults, which are being presented as retaliation for large‑scale strikes carried out by the United States and Israel against multiple countries in the Middle East. As a result, a significant number of German nationals are currently stranded in the Gulf region.
