On matchday 20 of the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund secured a 3‑2 victory over 1. FC Heidenheim. The visitors took an early lead when Waldemar Anton struck from a corner in the first ten minutes. Heidenheim fought back, and just before halftime, Julian Niehues levelled the score after a cross from Mathias Honsak.

In the second half Heidenheim pressed again, with Niehues adding another goal from distance to bring the score back to 2‑1. Dortmund answered swiftly: Serhou Guirassy netted two quick goals, restoring the German club’s advantage. Although Guirassy missed a penalty in the final moments, the team held on for the win. Heidenheim pulled no further, and the result pulls Dortmund closer to the summit of the table.
