Borussia Dortmund delivered an impressive comeback, securing a convincing 4-0 home victory over SC Freiburg. Maximilian Beier opened the scoring in the eighth minute, heading the ball into the far corner after controlling a long pass from Bensebaini. Just six minutes later, Serhou Guirassy doubled Dortmund’s lead with a precise deflection from Brandt from the penalty area.
Dortmund maintained firm control over the match, leaving Freiburg little space to play. Ramy Bensebaini extended the lead in the 32nd minute, nodding the ball into the net from a corner delivered by Ryerson, making the score 3-0. The Freiburg players struggled to find answers against the home side’s aggressive attacking efforts, especially given that they had played a demanding cup match earlier in the week.
In the second half, Dortmund initially managed the lead until Fábio Silva sealed the victory in the 87th minute. Following a pass from Beier, Silva cleverly turned on his axis to scoop home the final goal, bringing the match to a conclusive 4-0.
This win grants Borussia Dortmund crucial points in their race for Champions League qualification spots, solidifying their position in second place. Meanwhile, SC Freiburg drops down to eighth place in the standings.
