Digital Threats Surge Germany Faces Major Cyberattack Escalation

According to reports citing internal data from the Federal Ministry of the Interior, the digital threat facing Germany has significantly intensified. The data reveals that the number of severe hacking incidents has increased by 25 percent over the past year. Furthermore, an internal assessment from the ministry highlights 36,000 severe DDoS attacks targeting Germany, averaging approximately 100 attacks daily.

German security authorities have identified Russia as the primary force behind this wave of malicious activities. The newspaper reports that according to internal government findings, it is clear that many of these operations are either directly managed or at least tacitly permitted from Moscow in a coordinated effort to destabilize Germany.

In addition to the increased frequency, the attacks have also become significantly more aggressive. The objectives of these intrusions are no longer limited to simple data theft; they are increasingly focused on the outright sabotage of critical infrastructure.
