The incident began around 12:40 PM when the Dresden police department received emergency calls reporting shots fired in the vicinity of an apartment building. After deeming the situation life-threatening, specialized intervention units from the Dresden Police Department were dispatched to the scene.

Forensic teams immediately cordoned off the area, and the search for evidence has commenced. According to the authorities, there is currently no evidence pointing to a fleeing suspect. Because of these findings, the police stated that they do not believe there is danger to the local population and intend to provide further updates.
