Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has accused President Donald Trump of obstructing the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein. In an interview with the German magazine “Der Spiegel”, she said, “There are good reasons to be suspicious”. Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, have demanded that all documents related to Epstein be made public. A Republican‑controlled congress passed a law to that effect, and Trump signed it. “The administration is doing everything to circumvent that law and protect Trump” she added.
Epstein had systematically abused women and girls for years, yet political, business, and academic elites continued to associate with him-even after his 2008 conviction. Former President Bill Clinton is among those who had contact with Epstein, a connection that has resurfaced in recently released documents.
Clinton denies any close ties between her family and Epstein. “My husband was not close to him. He flew on his plane a few times to visit charitable projects, and that was years before Epstein was convicted” she explained.
At the same time, Clinton sharply criticizes the Trump administration’s Ukraine policy. “What Donald Trump did is shameful. If Ukraine had what it needs-long‑range missiles and well‑supplied air‑defence systems-it could not only hold its ground but achieve a better outcome in that conflict” she said.
