BTS Tops German Charts with Arirang

South Korean boy‑band BTS is leading the official German album charts with “Arirang” according to GfK on Friday. It is the group’s third chart‑topping album in Germany after “Map Of The Soul: 7” and “Proof”.

The chart’s second spot is held jointly by Audio 88 and Yassin with “Zeit zu sterben”. Austrian‑German band Unheilig falls to third place with “Liebe Glaube Monster” and the duo Kasi & Antonius occupy fourth with “Kids”.

On the singles chart, BTS has eight tracks from their new album in the top positions. “Swim” sits at number one, while other tracks from the same release reach positions like “Body To Body” (19), “FYA” (37) and “Normal” (47). With two new entries occupying the top ranks on both the album and singles charts, BTS becomes the first act in chart history to simultaneously hold the number‑one spot on both.

Zara Larsson’s “Lush Life” holds the second spot on the singles chart, followed by Dominic Fike’s “Babydoll” at third.

The official German charts are compiled by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the Bundesverband Musikindustrie and represent 90 percent of all music sales.
