Three minutes later Luis Diaz extended the lead with a goal from a precise pass by Olise, making it 2‑0. The scoreline held for the rest of the game.
Bayern now face Werder Bremen in the league on Saturday, while Leipzig will take on VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday. The semi‑final draw for the DFB‑Pokal is scheduled for Sunday as well.
