FC Bayern Munich secured the championship early with a 4-2 victory over VfB Stuttgart during the 30th matchday of the Bundesliga.
Though Stuttgart took an initial lead through Chris Führich in the 21st minute, Bayern Munich managed to turn the tide before halftime. Raphael Guerreiro equalized for the Bavarians in the 31st minute following a precise cross from Jamal Musiala down the left wing, which landed at the near post. Just two minutes later, Nicolas Jackson capitalized on a mistake in Stuttgart’s build-up play, making it 2-1. Alphonso Davies then extended the lead to 3-1 in the 37th minute when his shot was deflected by a Stuttgart defender.
In the second half, Harry Kane sealed the win for Bayern in the 52nd minute with a well-placed shot from a deflection. Stuttgart managed to pull the score back to 4-2 in the 88th minute via Chema Andres, but Bayern’s victory was no longer in doubt. Munich maintained control throughout the match, denying the Swabians any chance of a comeback.
This win allowed Bayern Munich to widen their lead in the standings, securing the championship four game weeks before the season’s end. Conversely, VfB Stuttgart must continue fighting for Champions League spots, as TSG Hoffenheim has advanced to two points.
