Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is expected to travel to Berlin in person to participate in a video conference concerning the war in Ukraine, according to reports from “Bild” and ARD’s Hauptstadtstudio, citing sources within security circles.
The reports indicate that President Zelenskyy will join initial discussions at the Chancellery this afternoon, focusing on the prospective summit between former US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The consultations are scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM local time, with Mr. Trump and Vice President JD Vance joining the meeting virtually at 3:00 PM.
Following the US participation, further virtual discussions amongst European leaders are planned, without the involvement of the American delegation. The purpose of the meeting is to coordinate international perspectives on the ongoing conflict and potential diplomatic pathways.
