The Ukrainian government has announced its readiness to initiate a full and unconditional ceasefire. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrij Sybiha made this statement after a meeting of the “Willful Coalition” in Kyiv. The ceasefire is scheduled to commence on Monday and last for at least 30 days, covering land, air and sea.
Following the meeting, the five state and government leaders, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and British counterpart Keir Starmer, focused on peace efforts.
According to reports, Sybiha stated, “If Russia agrees and effective monitoring is guaranteed, a permanent ceasefire and confidence-building measures could pave the way for peace negotiations.” The announcement aims to foster a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict.
