According to a recent survey, the Union can at least partially make up for its losses of the past weeks. According to the current Sunday trend, which the opinion research institute INSA conducts every week for the Springer publication Bild am Sonntag (Bams), the CDU and CSU are once again reaching 30 percent, after 29 percent in the previous week.
Coming in second is the AfD with unchanged 21 percent. The SPD, the Chancellor’s party, remains unchanged on the third rank with 16 percent. The Greens lose a percentage point and now have 12 percent. The BSW would be represented in the Bundestag with unchanged 7 percent. In contrast, the FDP and the Restlinke would not be represented, with both having 4 percent. The Left remains unchanged, with the FDP losing a percentage point in comparison to the previous week.
For the survey, INSA interviewed a total of 1,203 people in the period from January 20 to 24, 2025.
