Designated Federal Digital Minister Karsten Wildberger will initially exercise his duties from the Federal Ministry of the Interior. This is reported by the “Bild” (Wednesday edition) citing CDU circles. According to the report, Wildberger will move into offices in the ministry of the designated Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt (CSU) after his appointment. The reason for this is that the federal government currently does not have an appropriate building for the newly created Digital Ministry. The “Bild” further reports that Wildberger is already working on staffing his ministry. It is planned that the departments responsible for digitalization from the Ministries of the Interior, Justice, Economy and Transportation will relocate to the new ministry of Wildberger.
