Despite the insolvency of its Swedish parent company, multiple potential buyers have expressed interest in the Northvolt plant under construction in Heide, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. According to a spokesperson for the German Northvolt subsidiary, cited in the Bild newspaper, the construction work at the site will continue uninterrupted.

Northvolt AB is still in intense discussions with potential investors and there is significant interest in the Heide location, the spokesperson stated. They added that the construction work is proceeding as planned, with all current measures being carried out in close coordination with the KfW (Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau, or Reconstruction Loan Corporation).
