Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is set to visit Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday, according to the President’s spokesperson, who announced the trip on Monday. This comes a day after the delegations of Russia and the United States held talks. Kiev had previously announced the trip without providing a specific date and the exact interlocutors have not been disclosed.
Recently, Russia’s Foreign Minister announced that he would meet with the US delegation, led by US Foreign Minister Marco Rubio, in Riyadh on Tuesday, with the aim of preparing “possible” Ukraine-related talks. The Kremlin also stated that the primary focus of the meeting would be on the restoration of the entire complex of Russian-American relations, according to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitri Peskow.
