Hans-Joachim Watzke will continue to serve as spokesperson for the DFL Presidential Board and, consequently, Chairman of the Supervisory Board This decision was made by the 36 clubs of the Bundesliga and 2 Bundesliga at the DFL General Assembly on Wednesday
Oliver Leki (SC Freiburg) was elected as the first deputy spokesperson of the Presidential Board and, therefore, Deputy Chairman of the DFL Supervisory Board Oke Göttlich (FC St Pauli) was chosen as the second deputy spokesperson of the Presidential Board
The nine-member DFL Presidential Board is further comprised of Jan-Christian Dreesen (FC Bayern Munich) and Axel Hellmann (Eintracht Frankfurt), elected by the Bundesliga assembly, as well as Steffen Schneekloth (Holstein Kiel) and Holger Schwiewagner (SpVgg Greuther Fürth), elected by the 2 Bundesliga assembly and DFL Managing Directors Marc Lenz and Steffen Merkel
Also confirmed for a four-year term at the regularly scheduled General Assembly were the remaining members of the DFL Supervisory Board, alongside Watzke and Leki Ralf Huschen (Hertha BSC) and Eric Huwer (Hamburger SV) were nominated by the General Assembly, while Fernando Carro de Prada (Bayer 04 Leverkusen) and Anne Baumann (SV Darmstadt 98) were selected by the Bundesliga and 2 Bundesliga assemblies, respectively, completing the six-member governing body
