Alex Warren’s track “Ordinary” continues its reign atop the official German album charts, securing the number one spot for an unprecedented eighth consecutive week. The announcement, released Friday by GfK, highlights Warren’s dominant performance throughout 2025, marking him as the artist with the most number-one albums this year.
“Golden” from the “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack and Zartmann’s song “Tau mich auf” claim the second and third positions, respectively, demonstrating a diverse range of musical tastes among German listeners.
Shifting to the overall album charts, Amigos’ “Lebe jetzt” achieves its 17th number-one placement, a testament to its enduring popularity. Bonez MC and LX secure the second position with “Dumm aber doppelt” followed closely by the “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack. “Don’t Tap The Glass” by Tyler, The Creator occupies the fourth spot, while Joe Bonamassa’s “Breakthrough” rounds out the top five.
A significant resurgence in popularity is evident with the posthumous return of Ozzy Osbourne to the charts. Black Sabbath’s 1970s classic, “Paranoid” re-enters at number 70. The corresponding album makes a dramatic re-entry at position 29. Streams for all Ozzy Osbourne titles experienced a remarkable 982 percent increase between July 20th-21st and July 22nd-23rd, with overall streams of Black Sabbath music climbing by 738 percent.
The official German charts are compiled and released by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the German Federal Music Industry Association (BVMI), encompassing 90 percent of all music sales within the country.
