Wagenknecht Stands by BSW's Migration Policy

In a recent interview, Sahra Wagenknecht, the co-chair of the left-wing party, defended her party’s program for the upcoming federal election. When asked about the party’s asylum policy, she stated that saying “we need to stop uncontrolled migration” is not a right-wing stance, but rather a reasonable one, as it is not possible to accept an unlimited number of people. This, she argued, is not a right-wing but a pragmatic approach.

Wagenknecht criticized the Alternative for Germany (AfD) for promoting an “elbow economy” that prioritizes individual interests over the common good, likening it to a model that would appeal to business magnate Elon Musk.

The party leader emphasized that the Left’s vision is to return to a social market economy. Wagenknecht also highlighted her party’s alternative to the current political landscape, stating that the party’s five percent in recent polls is a respectable achievement, considering it has only been in existence for a year.
