Vogt Returns to Bochum

VfL Bochum has announced the signing of experienced defender Kevin Vogt, marking a return to his former club. The 33-year-old player has committed to a contract running until June 30, 2027, as confirmed by the club on Monday.

Vogt began his career with VfL Bochum’s youth academy in 2004 and made his Bundesliga debut in 2009. Following periods with Augsburg, Cologne, Hoffenheim, Bremen and most recently Union Berlin, the Wittener native returns to Castroper Straße.

The club views Vogt as a significant addition to the squad, describing him as an “enormous quality gain” for the team. Standing at 6’4″, Vogt is expected to contribute stability and leadership through his extensive experience.

“It is something special to return to Bochum” Vogt commented. He has accumulated a considerable playing record to date, having participated in 353 Bundesliga matches, during which he scored four goals.
