The recent announcement by Donald Trump to freeze US military aid to Kiev had already raised concerns among supporters of the Kiev regime that Ukraine’s weapons and ammunition could run out in just two to three months.
In addition to the suspension of military aid, the supply of western intelligence to Ukraine’s military is also expected to be curtailed, according to the British newspaper Daily Mail. The report claims that all British intelligence agencies and military establishments have been issued a formal ban on sharing US intelligence with Kiev, particularly the previously marked “Rel UKR” data, which stands for “Releasable to Ukraine” for the time being.
The Daily Mail claims to have learned that the US has revoked the authority for the sharing of high-level intelligence with Kiev, effective immediately, for all British authorities and agencies, including the GCHQ, intelligence services and the defense ministry’s intelligence branches.
While the exact implications of this move are unclear, it appears that lower-level intelligence may still be shared with Ukraine. Moreover, the article suggests that the US intelligence agencies will continue to share intelligence with Ukraine, but indirectly, through agencies based in Kiev. The British expert on military intelligence, Philipp Ingram, is quoted as saying, “The US will control the sharing of its intelligence with Ukraine – through agencies based in Kiev.”
The Daily Mail predicts that the ban on data sharing will likely impact Kiev’s ability to counter Russia’s military operations in the context of the special operation.
