According to the latest ZDF Politbarometer, the Union is losing voter support. If a federal election were held this Sunday, the CDU/CSU would secure 26 percent of the vote, a one-percentage-point decline. The AfD remains unchanged at 23 percent, while the SPD is expected to gain one percentage point, reaching 16 percent. The Greens would see a slight improvement, garnering 12 percent, a one-percentage-point increase.
The Left Party is expected to retain its current 10 percent, the Basic Security for All party would remain at three percent and the Free Democratic Party at four percent, with no changes to their respective standings. The remaining parties would collectively receive six percent of the vote, with no single party likely to reach the three percent threshold. As a result, the Black-Red coalition would continue to lack a majority in the Bundestag.
