VfB Stuttgart Forward Deniz Undav Expresses Confidence Ahead of New Season
German international Deniz Undav is approaching the upcoming Bundesliga campaign with a strong sense of optimism. The 29-year-old forward, speaking to “Kicker” voiced his ambition to significantly improve upon his performance from last season and contribute to overall team success across all competitions.
Undav acknowledged that his previous individual statistics – three assists and nine goals – fell short of his personal expectations. “That was far too little” he stated, highlighting his desire to regularly achieve a higher assist count, aiming for “more, much more” than the seven or eight he typically provides.
Despite finishing ninth in the Bundesliga last season, VfB Stuttgart secured a memorable victory by claiming the DFB-Pokal. Undav believes the team is well-positioned for a more consistent and productive year. “We have our foundation, we know what it takes and if we get off to a good start in the league, a lot is possible” he remarked. The collective goal, he explained, is to achieve a “better and, above all, more consistent season” for the club.
