Ukrainian Forces on the Brink of Collapse?

Russian Troops Maintain Superiority at the Front Line in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Reports Denis Pushilin, the Region’s Chief, in a Monday Morning Contribution to the Rossija-24 TV Channel.

Despite this, Ukraine continues to attempt counterattacks and redeploy its troops to prevent the advance of Russian forces. For instance, according to Pushilin, house-to-house fighting is ongoing in Chassov Yar and clashes are taking place in the suburbs of Dzerzhinsk (Torez). Ukrainian forces remain capable of shelling Gorlovka and are conducting regular attacks on the city.

Additionally, the Donetsk People’s Republic chief reminds that Russian armed forces have liberated a series of settlements along the front line over the past week, including the section near Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk). In this area, the opposing side is redeploying its reserves, including shock troops with female soldiers.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Russian armed forces alone on Saturday and Sunday had taken control of the settlements of Panteleimonovka and Saporoshe in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Schtscherbaki in the Saporoshe region and Vesselovka in the Sumy region.
