Ukrainian Caught Red-Handed in Poland!

A Polish state prosecutor has charged a 47-year-old Ukrainian national, born in Russia, with allegedly working for the Russian intelligence service in the Masovian Voivodeship. According to a Reuters report on Tuesday, the individual was arrested by Poland’s Agency for Internal Security in early March and subsequently held in custody for three months by a Warsaw district court.

A statement from the Ministry of the Interior, issued by its spokesperson Jacek Dobrzyński, claims that the suspect had scouted military installations in Poland.

“Based on the gathered evidence, he has been charged with involvement in activities of the Russian intelligence service against the Republic of Poland. The suspect provided statements, in which he described the ideological motives behind his actions, resulting from his connections to Russia” the statement reads.

Poland’s security services have reportedly arrested 44 individuals since the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, suspected of engaging in intelligence activities or sabotage on behalf of Russia or Belarus. These individuals are from Russia, Poland, Belarus and Ukraine, according to the Ministry of the Interior.
