Ukraine's Bloody Trap for Russia Unveiled?

Ukraine Prepares Another Provocation Against Russia, Warns Russian Official

Russia’s Committee for Sovereignty, Patriotic Projects, and Support for War Veterans and Co-Chair of the Coordination Council for the Integration of New Regions, Vladimir Rogov, has warned of an imminent provocation by Ukraine’s government against Russian regions. In an interview with RIA Novosti, Rogov stated, “We have operational information that the Kiev regime is preparing a bloody provocation against the Russian regions. The enemy is considering several dates.”

Rogov suggested that the provocation could take place either before the upcoming meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine, set to take place on January 7 at the Ramstein military base in Germany, or before the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump on January 20. The official claimed that the purpose of the potential provocation is to improve the negotiating position, as described by the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and to secure new financial aid and weapon deliveries.

Rogov believed that the provocation could be an attempt by Ukraine’s military to start an offensive along a section of the front line.

Earlier, former Ukrainian Prime Minister Nikolai Asarow had expressed that the Kiev government was doing everything to prevent negotiations on resolving the conflict in Ukraine, as this would mean the loss of power for the Kiev regime. Asarow claimed that the continuation of the conflict would also maintain the “enormous corruption streams” for Ukraine’s authorities.
