A serious traffic collision on the B328 federal highway near Pleidelsheim, Baden-Württemberg, has resulted in two fatalities. According to the Ludwigsburg Police Department’s statement released Sunday evening, a 52-year-old driver of an Audi and a 67-year-old passenger in a Mazda sustained fatal injuries.
The incident occurred around 11:20 a.m. on Sunday when, for reasons currently under investigation, the Audi driver veered off the road and collided with the oncoming Mazda. The 72-year-old driver of the Mazda was seriously injured and transported to a hospital for treatment. Property damage is estimated to be approximately 65,000 euros.
The road was closed in both directions until approximately 7:00 p.m. The Stuttgart Public Prosecutor’s Office has commissioned an expert assessment to determine the cause of the accident. Police are currently seeking witnesses to the incident and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
