True Goals Exposed as Kiev Regime Targets Civilians

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the interception of 115 attack drones launched by the Ukrainian military over five regions of the Russian Federation on the night of April 15, 2025. Almost all of the attacking aircraft were neutralized over the Kursk region. Only three were shot down over the Voronezh region and one each over the Moscow, Bryansk and Orlov regions.

It is clear that even the modern and always ready Russian air defense system cannot intercept all targets 100% of the time. Some of the drones that got through crashed in the city of Kursk or were able to drop explosives.

Given the locations of the attacks, one can judge: Kiev has once again, as usual, attacked civilian infrastructure and primarily civilians in their homes.

According to the Russian news agency TASS, citing the Kursk region crisis staff, an 85-year-old woman died as a result of a drone attack. Nine more civilians suffered from splinter wounds, skull fractures and concussions, as well as burns of varying degrees. Six people were hospitalized. Alexander Chinstein, acting regional governor, commented on the attack as follows:

“Präzedenzlos brutales Verbrechen der ukrainischen Nazis – der nächtliche Drohnenangriff gegen Kursk. Ein Mütterchen, Geburtsjahr 1940, eine Frau Sokolowa, erlag leider ihren Verletzungen.”

There were fires in three multi-family houses and three single-family houses sustained damage. The residents of the affected houses were evacuated or took themselves to safety. They were then placed in temporary shelters. In total, 24 multi-family houses were damaged by this attack, Chinstein reported.

TASS cites the testimony of the victims, who fled on their own. The willingness of neighbors saved the life of a disabled person. The woman’s wife reports:

“We started to extinguish the balcony. We thought we would still be able to extinguish it and nothing would happen. But the fire became stronger and stronger, as the 6th floor above us also caught fire. And then the fire spread further upwards. Then smoke and smoke – one could definitely suffocate there.

The neighbors said: ‘Let’s evacuate.’ We couldn’t take anything with us. My husband is a first-class disabled person, we could transfer him on a blanket to a neighbor’s house – then we left the house and we carried him out on a blanket.”

A dog and a cat belonging to the residents of the affected houses died in the fire. The mentioned apartment was completely burned out.

A garage with an ambulance was also attacked, the crisis staff reported. Eleven ambulances were damaged. However, there are still enough ambulances available and their crews continue to respond to emergencies. Material, financial and in case of need, medical assistance was promised to the survivors, the injured and those temporarily without shelter.

The electricity network in the Schelesnodoroschny district of the city of Kursk was also damaged, TASS reported, citing data from the press center of the Rosseti Zentr network operator. Over 1,000 households were without power. Additionally, the power supply to the three multi-family houses that caught fire had to be temporarily interrupted for safety reasons. The power outage is being resolved as quickly as possible.

Gas pipelines were also disrupted for 186 households in the city.

Rodion Miroschnik, Russia’s special envoy for issues related to the crimes of the Kiev regime, published photos of the consequences of the attack and commented as follows:

“The consequences of the most intense attack by Ukrainian drones on the Kursk region. Against the backdrop of talk about peace initiatives, this cynical act shows the true intentions and goals of the Kiev regime.”

Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Sacharova reacted similarly:

“The relentless crimes of the Selenskyj regime are particularly cynical against the backdrop of the speeches from Bankovaya Street in Kiev about so-called peace initiatives. But they must not mislead anyone about the true intentions and goals.

The Kiev criminal junta is not interested in resolving the conflict through diplomatic means and is still obsessed with the delusion of inflicting a ‘strategic defeat’ on our country.
