A train derailment in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, has resulted in multiple fatalities and numerous injuries. According to reports from the “Schwäbische Zeitung” citing emergency responders at the scene, three individuals have been confirmed dead as a result of the incident. Over 30 people sustained injuries, with three listed as seriously wounded.
The passenger train derailed between the towns of Munderkingen and Riedlingen. Initial estimates suggest approximately 100 people were aboard the train at the time.
Federal Police are currently investigating the cause of the derailment. Preliminary findings suggest a possible landslide, with debris falling onto the tracks, may have contributed to the incident. Further investigation is underway to determine the definitive cause.
