Three Dead in German Highway Crash>

A tragic traffic accident on the A6 motorway in Rhineland-Palatinz resulted in the deaths of three individuals late Saturday night. Police from the Kaiserslautern Motorway Police Station reported that one person sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The incident occurred approximately 11:00 PM, traveling in the direction of Saarbrücken, just before the Kaiserslautern-Ost junction. The precise cause of the collision between an Audi S8 and a Volkswagen Golf remains under investigation. Both vehicles subsequently caught fire. All three occupants of the Golf were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Audi, a 46-year-old male, survived the crash with injuries.

The motorway was completely closed for several hours, leading to significant traffic disruption. Authorities noted that multiple drivers made unauthorized U-turns on the roadway, creating a dangerous situation and raising the risk of further incidents. Police are actively seeking witnesses with any information regarding the vehicles involved or their driving behavior and are urging them to come forward.
