German Left Party’s Thuringian Chair, Katja Wolf, Advocates for Party’s Expansion
In a recent interview with the Rheinische Post, Katja Wolf, the chair of the Thuringian branch of the German Left Party (Die Linke), expressed her support for the party’s expansion, emphasizing the importance of including more voices and perspectives. Wolf stated that Sahra Wagenknecht, a prominent figure in the party, played a crucial role in the project’s initiation and that her presence is still vital as a key voice and leader within the party.
Wolf also emphasized the need for the party to democratize and broaden its base, including in its regional branches and to have a diverse range of individuals at the forefront. While acknowledging the significance of Wagenknecht, Wolf clarified that she does not have any federal political ambitions of her own.
