The Left Demands Union's Involvement in All Political Decisions

Ines Schwerdtner, leader of the Left party, has called on the Union to involve their party more in political decisions. This comes after the Left party and the Greens paved the way for a second round of voting for the Union’s candidate, Friedrich Merz (CDU), to become the Chancellor. Schwerdtner told the “Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland” that she expects the Union to be involved in political decisions, not just when there is a crisis. She wants more communication between democratic parties and does not want to see the “eggs dance” of who calls who. The CDU has a valid party congress decision that excludes cooperation with the AfD and the Left party.
