The mobility expert at the Consumer Centre Federation (VZBV), Marion Jungbluth, told the Rheinische Post (Friday): “The Consumer Centre Federation has been demanding a free reservation at the time of ticket booking for a long time.”
Jungbluth criticized the planned increase in fees for reservations at the time of the schedule change. “Families will have to dig deeper into their pockets starting Sunday and pay extra for each child. Even the regular reservations will be moderately increased.”
According to the expert, customer orientation is being consistently disregarded by the company. Deutsche Bahn regularly announces changes to the tariff conditions, “so even experienced train passengers can easily lose their bearings.
