A German national, suspected of supporting the terrorist organization Islamic State, has been charged by the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office. The office announced the charges on Friday.
According to the indictment, the accused is alleged to have assisted a 17-year-old Austrian in preparing an attack on a Taylor Swift concert in Vienna between July and August 2024. The accused not only translated the building instructions into German but also provided a draft for a oath of allegiance to the Islamic State. The Austrian teenager allegedly used this to join the terrorist organization.
The accused is currently at large and the charges were filed on June 17 at the State Security Senate of the Kammergericht Berlin. The indictment includes allegations of supporting a terrorist organization and preparing a severe, state-endangering violent act.
