VfB Stuttgart has confirmed the transfer of attacking midfielder Enzo Millot to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli SFC. The move, which had been anticipated for some time, was announced by the Bundesliga club Saturday evening. Reports indicate a transfer fee of approximately 30 million euros.
During his time with Stuttgart, the 22-year-old French U21 international featured in 113 competitive matches, scoring 22 goals and providing 21 assists.
VfB sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth praised Millot’s contribution to the club’s recent success. “Enzo significantly contributed to our positive sporting development in recent years. He was instrumental in achieving successful relegation survival and played a key role in winning the DFB-Pokal in Berlin.
Club CEO Alexander Wehrle acknowledged the transfer with a mixture of emotions. “From a sporting perspective, we are losing an exceptional footballer who has taken a special path with VfB in recent years. However, the economic conditions of this transfer are also exceptionally good, especially when compared to similar transfers in the history of our club.
Millot himself expressed fond memories of his time with Stuttgart. “I will always remember my time with VfB very fondly. I have developed as a player and as a person and we had a successful period as a team”.
