Germany’s National Team Faces Setback Ahead of Nations League Final Four
Germany’s coach, Julian Nagelsmann, has been dealt a blow with the news that midfielder Nadiem Amiri will miss the upcoming Nations League Final Four due to adductor issues. The 28-year-old Mainz 05 player has been released from the team’s Herzogenaurach base to receive treatment, with no plans for a late call-up.
This development adds to a list of absentees that Nagelsmann’s team must navigate. Jamal Musiala, Antonio Rüdiger, Kai Havertz, Nico Schlotterbeck, Tim Kleindienst and Benjamin Henrichs had all previously withdrawn due to injury, while Angelo Stiller, the VfB Stuttgart player who won the DFB-Pokal last weekend, will also miss out due to an injury.
The German national team will face Portugal in the Nations League semifinals on Wednesday in Munich, with the final and third-place match scheduled for June 8 in Munich and Stuttgart, respectively.
